Something need to be done at this farm and quick.
We tasted about 6 wines of which almost all the reds had been opened for longer than 4 days without proper preservation. Our host told us that after opening the wines they leave them outside until day end.
I cannot say much about the wines but the staff where friendly

What a delightful winery. Translated from French, Montpellier means “Mountain of Chefs”. Super peaceful and set in stunning surroundings, we enjoyed the tasting while sitting beneath the trees on the rolling front lawns. Two whites and three reds were available for tasting … the Shiraz 2009 (R70 a bottle) took my fancy. Had a tour of the guest house together with Lucille Hubinger, the guest house manager. Farm has a beautiful chapel superbly placed on the property. Unfortunately this was closed when we visited. Would recommend that you pay this farm a visit.

Wow! What an awesome discovery. Beautiful farm with a old Cape Dutch building. We were welcomed with open arms and even enjoyed a glass of their soon-to-be-released Methode Cap Classique. Our 2 hosts were very friendly and made us feel right at home.

After the MCC we tried the other wines in their range. Expect easy drinking wines that are super cheap – R25. It might not be spectacular but it’s damn good value for money.

There’s a lovely guest house on the farm, which is also extremely affordable . It’s the perfect place to sit back and take in the beautiful surroundings that the farm and the valley have to offer.

This place made me realise once again why Tulbagh wine route is still top of my list. The country hospitality that one receives is indescribable. I can’t wait to return to reconnect with the awesome people that made us feel so incredible special and completely at home.

Beautiful farm, great service, and the wine is well balanced, nothing exceptional, but the experience was good.

Lovely garden and tasting room with a charming chapel for weddings. Wines did not impress at all. They all had a similar bitter harsh old school taste to them, not my taste at all.
